Watching and Listening

If I had to predict the eventual cause of my death, it will probably be falling into an open manhole that I fail to notice because my nose is buried in a book. That being said, I do occasionally do other things besides read. So, just to mix it up a bit, I thought I would offer up some recommendations of the audio and/or visual variety.

Three Things for a Tuesday

Horror World has a review of Horror Library Vol.3. They liked it, and called Teeth one of the standouts!

Dark Roasted Blend has an updated gallery of beautiful Surreal Art for your viewing pleasure.

Josh Rountree has a wonderful story in the latest issue of Lone Star Stories - Gone Daddy Gone - go read it!

A Month in Gormenghast

By the time I’m done, it will probably be closer to two months. I’m a reasonably fast reader, and I’m still only halfway through the trilogy. Nemonymously Yours

My short story [title removed and placed temporarily in the witness protection program] will appear in the upcoming Nemonymous anthology, tentatively titled Cern Zoo. For those not familiar with the Nemonymous series, each book is a collection of “anonymous” stories with the authors’ names being revealed in the following book. The past few volumes have listed the authors on a separate page, but not matched up to their story. You can read more about the series here and here. I’m excited to be stepping into the Nemonymous world!

Keyboard

My very pretty Neil Gaiman keyboard arrived today.

GaimanKeyboard

In case you can’t read it, it says ‘keyboard I wrote some Sandman with’. This makes me very happy. Now I just have to figure out how to keep it safe from marauding cats, who - incidentally - are thrilled that a kind man and his fabulous assistant took the time to mail them a wonderful box to play in.
