Hitchhiking Insects

As we get ever closer to launching issue one of the Journal of Unlikely Entomology, we have a special guest post up on our blog to whet your appetite. Well, possibly not literally, unless you’re into eating bugs, which is fine. A lot of people are. In fact, if you’re one of them, perhaps you have some interesting recipes you’d like to share in the comments. But I digress…

Right now, before you sit down to a tasty snack of the insect of your choice, you should head on over to the Journal of Unlikely Entomology blog and check out The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Insect Galaxy by Laura Russo. Seriously. It’s got an incredible photo of a Cryptophagid beetle riding on a bee’s tongue. What are you waiting for? Go look!

Issue one of the Journal will be along before you know it. In the meantime, we’re currently reading submissions for issue two, so send your best bug-related fiction our way.
